What IS it about Apple? The most successful corporation to be run in the last 15 years? Tightly wound, and as focused as any large corporation. BUT. Apple has managed to emulate some of the better bits of a start-up.
Lashinsky says Apple is a company of paradoxes: the beauty of the product versus the severe pressure cooker of the environment at Cupertino. One of the most profound takeaways for me? Lashinsky says Steve Jobs was able to say "No" to the things that needed to be said "No" to.
