It took a lot to bring in this third full length. Personal challenges aren't hidden from the listener, nor is the inside and intimate story on what took place to bring the album together, both lyrically and sonically.
LEIGH MARBLELeigh dropped by our studios for a conversation about
Where the Knives Meet Between the Rows. On Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Doug Fir Lounge, Portland, Oregon-based artist Leigh Marble will celebrate the release of his third full-length, Where The Knives Meet Between The Rows, a ten-track follow-up to Red Tornado, which Portland alternative weekly Willamette Week proclaimed "a burning, angst folk-rock masterpiece." Further extending beyond the pop-rock and folk of Red Tornado, Where The Knives Meet Between The Rows delves deeper into an indie-fied spectrum of soundscapes and experimentation, without losing the lyrical depth or sonic power of Marble's previous work.
Also on the bill is The Ascetic Junkies and Kelly Anne Masigat (of The Dimes). Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm. Cover is $6.00 advance and $8.00 day of show.
