Ben Kweller maybe isn't THE most comfortable-in-his-skin musician you could know. But considering he's been at the song writing thing since at least 8 years of age, he's sure confident. With good reason. ~I

Here's Ben with an interview and live performance in the Bing Lounge at 101.9 KINK.FM.  Portland, OR

BK (among many nicknames, we are sure) exudes such joy on a stage, and even backstage, you wonder if he is ever mad about something. Immediately likeable. And you can hear it in the music.

Ben's new album, Go Fly a Kite was made at his own new label, The Noise Company. He was the first major act to be signed to Dave Matthew's ATO in 2001. But Ben felt it was the right move to do his own thing. Not that he never had power over his artistic vision. But now it's MORE of that.

Consequence of Sound says, "While it’s important for the music industry to have daring artists willing to push the limits of what music can be and how it’s perceived, it is equally as important to have artists that pull us back every now and then and remind us what we liked about it in the first place. Go Fly A Kite makes a respectable argument that Ben Kweller is of the second type." More of the review HERE.
