Here's my top 3 reasons to stop by your local record store this week:
Portugal The Man - It's Complicated Being a Wizard: Firstly, what a fantastic album name. Bravo. Secondly, this Portland based Alaskan band is great! I saw them open for Cake once, and I've never seen more fog machines in one place.
John Butler Trio - Live at Red Rocks: I'm usually not a huge "live album" fan. John Butler Trio, however, is really more of a live band, so it only makes sense that they release one. Performing in one of the few venues that belongs in the same sentence as The Gorge, the band plays most of what I would hope for: Betterman, Zebra, Better Than, Ragged Mile...
They Might Be Giants - Join Us: The extra quirky duo is back with 18 new, short, and probably generally likable songs. I've yet to be let down by a TMBG album, why start now?
