This is a familiar story. Take piano lessons as a little kiddo. Start loving singing, too. But that's where roads take different directions. We follow up on the talented Michele Van Kleef and her return not only to a hometown but to music.

MICHELE VAN KLEEF

UPDATE 8/23

Join us for the Friday Early Escape Cruise on the Portland Spirit 8/24. The exceptional Tim Ellis will be joining Michele for the cruise.

UPDATE 6/8

CD Release party at Jimmy Mak's tonight at 8p. First set belongs to Michele and second to her friend Naomi Violette.

That plus some really exciting news on the music front. Listen below.

It's a busy life these days. On so many fronts. At home, it's raising a daughter, and in her musical life, staying close to other women in music, like Naomi La Violette, in what Michele describes as the "Naomi-Michele" show. (See below for their upcoming gigs.) Doing gigs,  and keeping music alive inside a busy life is helped by those relationships.

There is that nice steady stream of smaller shows sprinkled in but the  CD release party for AFTER ALL is gonna be BIG fun. Jimmy Maks's on June8. More HERE.
