Join us on Sunday, September 23rd for AIDS Walk Portland!
This 2.5 mile annual walk brings together
individuals, teams and volunteers with the goal of raising much-needed
funds for HIV/AIDS services, public education and outreach to youth and
adults most at risk for contracting HIV. AIDS Walk Portland showcases
community spirit as people from all walks of life come together in the
fight against AIDS.Participants enjoy breakfast, music, entertainment, the Kids’ Corner (arts and crafts, face painting, prizes and balloons), and inspirational presentations from community leaders. The focus of AIDS Walk is to increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education in order to remind the community that HIV has not gone away, infection rates in Oregon and SW Washington continue to rise and there are many things you can do.
