The Lonely Forest is an indie rock band from lovely Anacortes, Washington.
Hailing from Anacortes, Wa, four-piece indie rock band the Lonely Forest released their first EP in 2006 and have since recorded four full-length records, most recently the 2011 album Arrows. They have also toured the country, but according have no desire to leave their Northwestern hometown, and in their song "I Don't Want to Live There" profess their disdain for big music cities like LA and Nashville. "Give to me miles of tall evergreens and the smell of the ocean and cool mountain breeze" sings frontman John Van Deusen.
