New Wilco!  But that's not all.  Lot's more reasons for you to race to your local record store this week:

Wilco The Whole Love: Beware This album has to live up to some pretty high standards that Wilco fans have now come to expect.  And they rightfully should.  In my humble opinion, 2009s "Wilco" was a step backward from "Sky Blue Sky," so I am very interested to see where the band will take us with this effort.  Stay tuned, I'll try to post a review this week.


Dum Dum Girls - Only in Dreams: These Sub-Pop darlings certainly have a way with time.  From a first listen, some tracks on this album sound 10 years old, some older.  But, it's all new, and all in the flavor of rock and roll.  I might compare their sound to something between The Pixies and The New Pornographers.

Will Hoge - Number 7:  This dude is has expanded.  His new album has a full band sound, and some country influence.  He's been making records for about 10 years now, and his sound is certainly more focused now.  Has a bit of a Shawn Mullins feel.  Also, I think a lot of Oregonians can identify with track 3 "Goddam California."


Seth MacFarlene - Music is Better than Words: You may know Seth better as Peter Griffen or Brian the Dog or a number of other voices in animated show Family Guy.  Any fan of the show knows that Seth tries to work music into the show as much as possible, and with good reason.  He has a great voice.  This album is not comedy or parody, however.  It's straight forward lounge/big band from the 50s.  I love this music, and I'm sure Seth will do it right.  Guest appearances from Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles.
