TriMet is a national leader in transit. So much more than connecting people from point A to point B.

Some great milestones and and a couple of new ideas too.

  • TriMet just celebrated 10 million rides at the Airport MAX Red Line station at PDX in its 10 year service.
  • Sunset Magazine recently selected Portland as the best city to 'ditch your car'.
  • The first transit district in the nation to partner with Google Transit to allow riders to plan their transit trips on Google Map.
  • Another first: the new Portland Regional Trip Planner, the firs open-source, multi-modal trip planner produced by a US transit system. It combines biking, and walking trips in a single itinerary.. you can even set it to accommodate your bike preferences, so you can avoid hills.
