Jacob Merlin and Sarah Billings will team up in support of a long awaited debut release of Jacob's "Live at Jimmy Mak's" CD and Summer 2011 Concert DVD.

Merlin, a local talent recently nominated as Best New Male Artist at the Portland Music Awards, has worked with many local and national artists including Storm Large, Curtis Salgado, and Mic Gillette. Taking the counsel and mentoring from the heavy hitters of the music industry, Merlin has galvanized his performance and captured its raw evergy.

A seriously talented soul singer, Sarah Billings has worked with local legends like Norman Sylvester and Curtis Salgado. Over the past year she has developed her own brand of beautifully written R&B that is so infectious, meaningful, and fun, it's only a matter of time until she becomes a household name. Her new CD showcases the incredible talent Sarah has surrounded herself with, and the amazing talent she possesses herself.

The Sarah Billings Band will start off the night with a high energy R&B/soul set, then bring on the Jacob Merlin band to spotlight the evening with their original funk and groove. Together, this dynamic duo will combine all the elements in a final set, as both bands take the stage to take the show to the next level.

The Jacob Merlin band’s live performances in the northwest have become the stuff of legend, with their driving, exhilarating, take-no-prisoners style, guaranteeing happy smiles on the faces of their audiences. Sarah brings the same intensity and skill with a heart that can only be defined as divine. Combined in one show, these two amazing performers will take your breath away.
