JACKSON BROWNE ANNOUNCES 2013 ACOUSTIC TOUR OF THE WESTERN U.S.

KELLER AUDITORIUM – PORTLAND, OR Saturday, January 19, 2013

PORTLAND, OR, November 12, 2012: Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is set to launch his 2013 Acoustic Tour with a string of U.S. dates beginning January 19th at Keller Auditorium in Portland, OR. Playing guitar and piano, and collaborating with musicians on stage, Jackson will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night. Tickets go on sale on Monday, November 19th at 10 AM PST. The tour runs through mid-February, and highlights include Benaroya Hall in Seattle, WA (1/20), San Jose Civic Auditorium (1/22), Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, CA (1/26), Terrace Theatre in Long Beach, CA (1/29), Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco (2/6) and The Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix, AZ (2/13). Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007. Beyond his music, he is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He's a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE), Nukefree.org, and the Success Through the Arts Foundation, which provides education opportunities for students in South Los Angeles.
