On Friday, December 7th some of Portland's great eateries will be donating 10% of the day's sales back to Hurricane Sandy relief!

Check here for a list of participating restaurants

Local Portland restaurants showcase their establishment and Northwest spirit by participating in Bite of the Big Apple, an event where part of the day’s proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Bite of the Big Apple is organized by Levi Crisp and Eric Lewin-Secher; it was created to funnel money through the American Red Cross to help families displaced by Hurricane Sandy. There are several areas still without power and this event will help provide those in need with a warm holiday meal.

"Living in Portland we are fortunate to have an array of cuisines and flavors in our different neighborhoods," said Eric. "It just made sense to highlight this feature and create Bite of the Big Apple to give back and show our support from the west coast."

Bite of the Big Apple is a one-day event, bringing the community together over delicious meals and helping the American Red Cross in their continual disaster relief.
