Plastic microbeads are bad news. They’re found in some face washes and when they go down the drain, they enter our lakes and oceans, and eventually fish. You can also find them in some toothpastes and those nasty microbeads can get lodged in your gums. Any foreign objects in the gumline can lead to infection, gingivitis or periodontal disease. What’s even worse is that the microbeads are only added to your toothpaste to make it look cool.
