If you’ve been at one of Metro’s two transfer stations lately, you may have noticed a change. As of January 1st, the two stations are requiring new documentation about asbestos from all customers with loads of construction and demolition debris. The precaution and enhanced screening of these loads are designed to protect the health and safety of their employees and customers. Many construction contractors and residential DIY remodelers are not aware of the changes. If you’re planning any remodeling at your home, make sure you do your homework first.
