My good buddy invited me to join the Show and Tell Music Club. It's like a book club... but without the reading. Basically, at our meetings we all bring an album and pick 3 or 4 songs to share. This is usually accompanied by a story explaining the album's significance to the presenter. It's been a great way for me to discover new artists, but why keep them all to myself? It occurred to me that perhaps I should share some of our results. ~Jason Miller

My good buddy Rochelle Muzquiz, Portland editor for " The Vinyl District," invited me to join the Show and Tell Music Club. It's like a book club... but without the reading. Basically, at our meetings we all bring an album and pick 3 or 4 songs to share. This is usually accompanied by a story explaining the album's significance to the presenter. It's been a great way for me to discover new artists, but why keep them all to myself? It occurred to me last night (our 2nd meeting) that perhaps I should share some of our results. ~Jason Miller

I'm a music nerd, I know. Sometimes I like to try to match the music I'm listening to with the weather outside. At the moment, winter is progressing and I thought I would share 10 albums that I like to listen to when its cold/rainy/snowy. I know there are many more, and I'd love for you to comment with one of your favorite winter albums at the bottom.

Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - 11/16/11
"We're not spoon feeding you this concert." - Leslie Feist The difference couldn't have been more stark, in almost every sense. The first time I saw Feist was at a Folk Music Festival in, oh say, 2005. She was playing on the main-stage during a beautiful and bright sunset over Jericho Beach in Vancouver, Canada. The songs were fun, approachable. Tonight was darker. The stage was full of dark instruments packed with minor chords. The concert was the perfect nightcap for a day full of rain, wind, and drear.
