It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues

June 15, 2012, 6:55 am

"Looking for a sure cure to the blues? Latch on to a ticket for It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues. More than a musical feast… it is a potent blend of visual eloquence and historical sweep that engages the eye and touches the heart, while its songs soothe the ear, occasionally work mischief on the funny bone and always raise the spirits." —The New York Times

Slamming that ¼” tape really hard produced the most beautiful distortion I’ve ever heard,” says McPherson. jdmcpherson.com

Wintersleep interview and live performance in the Bing Lounge at 101.9 KINK.FM.

Ten years ago, the members of Wintersleep began working on songs in a small apartment in Halifax, NS. This is the second most notable thing about this particularly drab apartment complex next to the fact that, due to an oversight by the architect, if the pool on the roof was ever filled – the building would tip over. The songs they created were strange, full of rural ghosts and forgotten landscapes.
