Urban Composting

If you live in apartment or condo without curbside composting and no access to backyard composting, have you considered a worm bin?  A worm bin allows you to convert your veggie scraps into rich compost that you can share or use in planters. Growing Gardens is hosting a Worm Farming workshop on Thursday, April 21st in SE Portland. You’ll learn how to create and maintain a worm bin, and how to harvest and use the castings. They’ll also provide everything you need to get started.
